To have a kick start to our former routine, we are going to have our first discussion meeting of this fall semester on the key ideas of the literary theorist and feminist critic Gayatri Chakravotry Spivak.

Reading Material:

Morton, S., 2003. Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak. Routledge. [Chapter 2,3,5.]

Our main activity is revolving around monthly meetings to discuss key texts in postcolonial theory and criticism. Our aim is to grasp better understanding of core issues in the social sciences via focus on global narratives of race, power, and identity.
Members of the Poco group voluntarily organize discussions about books, articles or movies related to the theme of the meetings.
Come and join us whether you are studying in the Czech or the international programs. Our meetings are always in English!
